Soul Gallery (Cape Town)
Gerhard vd Westhuizen and Mambakwedza Mutasa met on May 2018 at the Festival of Art in Franschhoek , Western Cape. Whilst exhibiting at the same art festival, Gerhard and Mamba came to cross paths. With a keen and inquisitive interest in each other’s works, they instantly came to realize that they shared a very like-minded passion in what they do and how they create it. That initial meeting was purely a fusion of dynamics that would ultimately be the beginning of a powerful journey of artistic collaborations.
In December 2018 Soul Gallery was born in the hart of Houtbay. Harvest Centre, 31 Harbour Rd , Houtbay , Western Cape

Gerhard van der Westhuizen
Born in Cape Town, South Africa
Gerhard a natural, self-taught artist who believes that eyes are the windows to the soul. His works are inspired by people, deep emotions and spontaneous interest.
Gerhard brings together a harmonious eventuality of modern art meets abstract expressionism. Consisting of predominantly large works of art that portray faces with intense emotions.
Mambakwedza Mutasa
Born in Harare, Zimbabwe.
With the preferred use of materials such as metal, stone and driftwood in his sculpters, Mambakwedza has the uncanny ability to create shape, life-like movement in a still-form and immense emotions. He brings together a culmination of strengths, from inner passions, beliefs and spirituality to gentle expressions and powerful emotion.
